Festive Season

Once again it is the time of the year where joy, fun and Christmas spirit is in the air. I always enjoy this month of the year as families and friends are closely knit. This is the time to be in a joyous and happy mood. All shopping malls are thronged by shoppers and you can see a smile on peoples faces as they leave the mall.
During this festive season families and friends gather together to enjoy the Christmas spirit in the air. Also, this particular month the weather is cool and breezy. The temperature is just nice with an occasional gush of wind.
This is always the best time to indulge in food and any activity. But of course you have to pay the price. Enjoy to the fullest and do not regret. When new year arrives, then repent for forgiveness and make your new year resolution. Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year To Everyone.

I can't wait for everything to end

This whole week has been a busy week. I can't wait for presentations to come to an end and also finish all assignments. Right now, all students are busy preparing for various things such as exams, completing assignments and working on presentations. As, we are half way through university our time must be used appropriately. As the saying goes time is precious. Time does not wait for no men.
On another note, I really can't wait for the next tuition free week. A time for us to rest our mind off studying. However, I hope that during that whole week I would at least do something fruitful. Since, once our university starts we would be in full swing as, finals would be approaching.
Also, I am starting to think of the summer holidays. Really can't wait for that as I get to go back to Malaysia really soon. I am so excited and soon I have to plan on what to eat and what I should do during my holidays in Malaysia. I am now over the moon. Thinking about the food back in Malaysia makes me feel hungry I also longing and craving for the good food. It is always said Penang has really good Hawker food.
Anyway now you knows my joys on why I can't wait to get back to Malaysia and also for holidays to come. Of course, before I can enjoy I must really study hard and study smart.hehehe

My Life In Perth

Since I came here, I have been enjoying myself. Mostly because of friends. Like what people have told me, when you go overseas get to know friends and many have always said University life is the best. Thinking about it, I agree. So far it has been great over here.
I have gone out for outings with various people such as Yin-Fei, Muneera, Amanda, the members in cell group and been catching up with lots of other people during lunch breaks. University life is an experience. One has to definitely go through and make the most out of it. Also, I have been keeping myself busy here by joining activities that I love. This is fruitful for me.
It is sad to say, the first few weeks I was here my friend got me addicted to shopping. When, there is a discount, one can get it at a bargain. Isn't it great. My favourite shops here are 'Supre' and 'Valley Girl'. I have been trying to budget as things are expensive. I always try to remind myself that so I won't spend unnecessarily on items that I don't need. From now on till I come back I should write a budget list to keep track on what I have been spending money on. Another thing, since I came here I have been eating and snacking a lot. This is bad. I must put a stop to this.
This is natural from what I have heard to put on weight when going overseas. But now since winter is over I must limit myself on food. And weigh myself before I get back to Malaysia.Thats for all now.

Before I came To Aussie

Before, I came over here some of my friends back in Penang wanted to give me a treat and a farewell. Anyway, there were planning and organizing the event to take me out. I wasn't involved in it. However, they did ask me what my preferences were. So, I of course mention anything is okay

Anyway before they took me out. They told me the day before that he and his friends are planning to take me for fusion food. This made my expectations high. I was expecting something grand and special. So, the day arrived. He fetched me together with his buddies to New World Park and guess what we ate????????We had so called Penang food...char koey teow, lobak, hokkien mee, pai tee(nyonya food). Anyway, I guessed they wanted me to eat all I can as they know overseas, local food ain't good plus it is costly.

Nevertheless, I did enjoy the company and we did many interesting things together. It was also a great time meeting up. We then headed to his house. Finally, he took me there. Thanks to these people Andre, Chong Ho and Fook Nean.

Updates on me

Sorry didn't have time to update as there is no internet connection but would get one really soon. What can one do without internet? It is hard.Give me ideas(help). I have been complaining a lot. Thinking about it I shouldn't because the place to uni is just walking distance. I am actually very lucky to find a place so convenient. I must appreciate things given to me. Anyway university has started.I am not packed as my classes are spread out evenly. Hmm.I am not use to the life here yet as after 5pm everything is so quiet and it gets dark.Really depressing. It has been raining a lot and very windy. There is no night life here but after all I am here to study so it is a good environment. University life is interesting as you meet many people from different walks of life all in the same boat.

Goodbye Penang,Welcome to Perth

Updates on where I would be the next few months is Perth. I would be studying there for two years at University of Curtin Technology, Bentley Campus. I would miss all the good food and delicacies back here. Wish me luck over there. Time for me to be independant and learn how to be prudent as once you convert things are going to be expensive. Must save since prices are increasing.

Europe Trip

I went to Europe for a wonderful trip. This trip was plan by my mother and she was looking forward to it. Anyway, we fulfilled her wish by going on this long awaited trip. We went around Europe. We visited countries like Germany, Italy, Switzerland and France. On the tour we met other people from around the world. The majority were Australians. However, there were also Canadians, Americans, South Africans, Filipinos and us Malaysians.

The country that I like the most was Germany and Switzerland because of its undulating hills and picturesque view. Also lakes there are clean and have fresh water from the mountains. However, for those who appreciate arts and sculptures Italy is the place to be. The place we visited like Vatican, Coliseum, Louvre and Versailles are rich in history and the buildings left behind are impressive and magnificent. As it can be seen the Roman Empire was powerful and the people living at that time were barbarians. I saw the Mona Lisa painting by Leornado Da Vince(heard that someone stole it and the painting was found in Florence).

In Switzerland, we were taken to a typical Swiss Village. There it was a great experience away from the hustle bustle of the city. We were taken on a horse drawn carriage. I enjoyed myself being at the country side because it was laid back, relaxing and serene plus the air was fresh. It was an unforgettable experience seeing the community closely knit. It was a lovely day.

After the tour, we stayed 2 more nights in London. We watched the musical Mamma Mia(a must see musical). It was recommended to us by a few people. Anyway the story is simple and easy to understand with all the ABBA music fitted into the scenes. The props, lighting, ensemble and cast were fantastic. The musical cannot be missed. I won't be a spoiler, so rate it yourself when the movie shows in the theatre. If one can catch it live I recommend. The dancing is cheoreographed so nicely. It was really entertaining.

Friends who are in my heart.

This blog is dedicated to a few of my friends. I would like to highlight a few people Prasana, Carmen, Ruth, Andrew Chan, Zee How, Andre, Shaun, Yin Fei, Vingie, Yee Mun and some others. You all should know who you are.

I do not know why at times I feel very emotional. This is going to be dedicated to a few of the people mention above. I would like to thank all my friends who gave me support and comforted me during my mum’s death and send condolences. I am really grateful.

Also, to some people out there, thanks for giving me advice when I am feeling down or just not myself. I really appreciate it and would go all out to improve for the better. I know you mean well to me. Therefore, feel something should be said.

Moreover, thanks for always being there when I need you and always ready to lend me your ear.

In addition, I really appreciate all of your friendship. All of you are in my heart.
Thank You.

A day at Penang Hill

Pic above: Dining in the garden of David Browns restaurant.
The view of the city from the peak of the hill.

Last weekend my dad decided to take us to Penang Hill. As, it rained for the past few days, the city could be seen clearly. It was a family outing. We took the tram on the way up. It took us about 30 minutes to reach the top. By the time, we were there our tummies were rumbling for food. Since we hadn't been up there for a while I brought my new pink camera and captured lots of photos. It was great to be away from the hustle bustle of the city and to breathe in fresh and unpolluted air. At Penang Hill we had lunch at David Browns restaurant. David Browns is another branch opened by the owner of Smoke House inn in Cameron Highlands. This place is known for serving authentic western cuisine. The food was tasty and there is a wide selection of food. However, it is a little bit pricy but it is once in a while so indulge. Anyway, we spent the afternoon up there till abt 4pm then used another route(the route that hikers use to reach the top). There were many people hiking up. Anyway some of these pictures would tell a thousand words about our outing there.
Enjoy seeing the pictures. Hope my taking picture skills are good.

Yeah! Exams are over

Time really flies. I just finish my finals for semester 7 and results would be out next week. It just give me the jitters. I remember the first time walking into college and now, I have finished and moving ahead. Life is going really fast.Hopefully I would do well. I'll leave the rest to GOD for him to give me whatever is the best for me.
Anyway, I was glad to enter college. Life isn't so hectic and my time table is considered flexible without any tuition classes and extra curricular activities. Initially I remember I had difficulty mixing with some friends but along the way we were united. Also, it was never too late to get to know one another.
As the time comes for me to move on. We have to part. Some of them have one more semester, others are either in UK, Aussie, or any other part of the world and another handful want to gain experience working then continue studying later.
Good Luck to everyone(Gambate) and hopefully we would meet again.
PS: would post pictures of my life at INTI College.

Thirdly there would be challenges that I have to face and overcome
Fourthly must prepare myself for the working world as time flies
The fifth is get ready for what is ahead of me
Sixth I just one the person whom I love come back to me
Seventh remember sometimes in life things don't seem so easy
and lastly I will always cherish moments and have a lasting friendship with everyone out there who knows me.
In conclusion life is about growing up, so be prepared for unexpected events.
